Screen and device report differs speeds - Humax

This is just an integration issue but needs addressing. When I fast forward using my Humax YouView, the user interface on screen tells me it's forwarding at a different speed than that displayed on the LED screen on the box itself. As an example, the screen will use 6, 12 etc but the device reports 8, 16 etc.

OOPS! I'd never spotted that before!

I'm guessing the code for the display is the responsibility of Humax as the box maker rather than YouView so probably one for them to add to their list of tweaks.

Maybe YouView can flag it up to them?

Me neither. The easiest way to address the "problem" must surely be to stop it displaying.

Black insulating tape will do that. ;)

There is discrepancy when fast forwarding recorded programs. On the TV screen it says x6 but on the front of the box it says x8. There are discrepancies for other higher speeds of fast forward / reverse too!!

Here is a list of all displayed speeds on my Humax DTR-1010 (Retail) :-

    Screen x2 - Panel x2
    Screen x6 - Panel x8
    Screen x12 - Panel x16
    Screen x30 - Panel x32

Can't fathom out any correlation in the discrepencies.

Which speed of each pair is actually correct?
Does HDMI stand for Hardly Dare Mention It?
