Are there any streaming services for live EPL games available separately from the rights agreed with Sky and BT?

    No, there aren't.

Trust me I'm well aware of the US market , I didn't say things like that would happen here.

Honestly nobody knows what will happen going forward , however it's a brave man who suggests Sports won't come onto the radar of some of the big online players the likes of who have budgets that far exceed anything BT and Sky can muster.

Yes.... Google and Apple, of which the latter are being speculated to make a bid for Time Warner, who own the HBO label.

Couple of links that might be of interest - this is the BT sport channel list from their website today

    http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/46167/

Anybody know when Youview  (EPG) channel numbers will change to reflect this.  Also will any scheduled recording/series links for the changed channel numbers be retained and will they record ?

and a BT media release - details their new Saturday schedule , gives details of 4K coverage this season and indicates that Saturday afternoon  Premiership rugby gets moved off BT Sport 1

To further expand on what zulu17 said above -

BT confirms every live Premier League game this season will be in UHD, plus at least 60 Aviva Premiership rugby games, at least 30 Vanarama League games and 10 Womens Super League games. Plus some live Speedway and Hockey.

From a logistical point of view, this is now possible because instead of just one UHD OB truck they now have four.

    Hi guys,
If anyone has set MoTD1 & 2 to series record from last season, you'll need to manually set them up again. Once set, you'll find them both appearing in the scheduled recordings list twice. Whilst such EPG behaviour is new, its as intended.

BT launch BT Sport Score tomorrow afternoon at 2.30pm on BTS1, which is a new live results/goal update programme. For retail users who watch the BBCs Final score, it will be available on the BBC red button 3 service and on the YouView BBC Sport app.

For the Sky users out there, Soccer Saturday will be on Sky Sports News, Sky Sports1, Sky1 and Freeview CH11, Pick TV.

Howso new? YouView boxes have been (apparently) duplicating the first programme of a series recording in the schedule since the year dot.

I don't know about 'as intended' though. While it is what the boxes do, this very confusing presentation is hardly something YouView could desire, unless there is a serious disconnect between what YouView wants, and what its users want.

    Oh wait...... there is :-(

New for the BBC. Previously the first episode of a new BBC series often wouldn't series link record, but they do/should now.

Interesting that Sky have opted to make Soccer Saturday FTA on Pick TV, good luck to BT competing with that.

    Not completely obvious but

Sky Sports is to offer its prime Saturday afternoon results show Soccer Saturday across multiple free-to-view outlets on the first weekend of the 2016/17 Premier League season.

Of course its not really being set up as a 'competitor' to Soccer Saturday. Its being set up as an alternative and an additional 'added value' channel for BT Sport's users, as the majority don't have Sky Sports, and even those that do don't have access to Sky Sports News anyway, as the channel isn't available on the BT platform. Of course TalkTalk do and SS users will now have three choices to choose from!

For info - BBC Final Score averages 1.47m Saturday viewers and Soccer Saturday an average of 6 - 700,000, with a peak on just under 1m.
Saying its behind a paywall, thats an impressive figure. Mind you, Jeff Stelling is a god of television presenting. His best moments all appear on Youtube and there are many. :)

I've never had any trouble recording series on the BBC, and I don't recall anyone else on here reporting that 'first episode' issue you describe, either.

Can you point me to where this problem has been raised (on an otherwise properly working YouView box, of course) in this Community?

Still crisply turned out though, I hope? :-)
