Next Gen: bring back the ability to wrap around the EPG between the very last to the very first chan

The title says it all here. If one is at the very first or last channel then it can be convenient to make one more move and wrap around to the other end of the list.

On the next gen software nothing happens if you try to move down from the last channel, whereas if one moves up from the first channel one moves into the filters list. As such re-enabling the wrap around would need to also change this move up into the filters list.

    Hi Keith,
I've had a version of the EPG that did this and I loved it. Sadly 2 days later it changed yet again (damn, I thought) to another one. I'll explain further -
If I pressed LCN1 (BBC1) a very surprising thing happened in the EPG. It appeared in the second line down, with LCN800 (True Christmas) appearing above it. So one only needed to flick up to access it. So there is proof this can be done and I'm of the personal opinion it will be.
But even in this V1.0 EPG, it can be done -
When on BBC1, hit the right key on the outer ring surrounding the center OK button and the totally transparent mini EPG will appear showing the now, next and after of solely the channel your on.
Now flick the 'up' arrow on the outer ring and there you go, your now on LCN800.
I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

Gosh! That's so much simpler than just pushing 'down'........ ;~)

If people on here seriously want to take the P out of me for explaining the way the new UI works, I would serious suggest they take their comments somewhere else.

    Sorry about that.
It's not personal, if I'm taking the P out of anything it's the UI, not you. You must admit, it's not exactly 'smart' or 'simple'.....

As a possibly disinterested observer, Dave, I took your posting as taking the P our of the UI; shooting the message, perhaps, but certainly not the messenger :-)

There is room for improvement in next gen, particularly I think with regards to the series folders ( which Youview are aware of), but from my experience I've found the new overall design to be very simple, quick & easy to use.
Its a change thats for sure, all i can suggest is you give it some time to become accustomed to it, you may be surprised

I think it's better as it is but I use the filters. Maybe customise it in settings is the way to go.
