There is no way back though.

Just as there is very little new feedback, even across the three threads referring to this release, and the later releases than this one.

Though YouView apparently take a masochistic delight in hearing the same things over and over, so please add your contribution, which will at least give YouView some idea of the number of disgruntled punters here.

Consistency is the bugbear of small minds :-)

Which bit of advice are referring to, exactly?

Double bump, as we have a lot of people here who need some guidance on how to use forums :-(

I agree, the recorded menu and the scheduled menu is absolutely awful. It is difficult to see what you have recorded and what is scheduled. Do not need pictures, just a chronological list as before. It was simple, now they have made it complicated

Agreed another disaster on par with the shocking channel guide, no picture in picture, unable to hide unwanted channels and no favourites option.

Bump. For the umpteenth time - This thread is now out of date. BT are now up to release 27.48.0

And the next newbie who chooses to completely ignore the above, and  post on it anyway, most definitely WILL NOT receive a forum coconut!

Is that release version a typo or have I missed an announcement ?

I updated 11/04/2017 nothing but problems with the box. My box has a recorder and it updated so the rollout just to non recording boxes is not applicable, it updated my box with no warning.
Obviously this update has been rolled out when it is not complete. The computing power of the box processor and internal memory can't handle the new interface menu's to much graphics, very very slow and sluggish box locks up.
Recording menu rubbish ( as already mentioned)
On recording playback pixelation and breakup problems on normal tv staitons.
Having problems with internet connection from the new bt box to internet.
My internet connection seems to be ok to my computers.
BT Sport channels not working, broken up, blank screens and pixelation. Unable to watch the Madrid - Leicester game.
Not able to access iplayers ( bbc, itv, 4, 5) lost the red button services
this box was working OK until the update.
What a balls up but what do you expect from BT. I will be phoning tomorrow

OK. Best tell them that your box only just updated to 27.44.0 then (I presume, judging by the thread you are posting in) and ask why it hasn't gone to the current 27.47.0 then.

New recording layout is absolutely awful. Need to be extremely careful when deleting a program.

The latency introduced by the upgrade is all too apparent.  I don't understand the thinking behind replacing a logical, efficient interface with a dog's dinner, that, apparently, NOBODY likes.

Hi I had just got used to my new Humax box when all of a sudden everything changed overnight without warning , gone was the easy to follow list of recorded programmes to be replaced with childish tiles. How I wish I had purchased a Panasonic PVR. I find it impossible to navigate through the picture tiles . Is there any chance of getting the list back please. The update I have is 27.46.0

Have I missed something, has there been another update what is 27.48.0 my box says the software is up to date.
All this update nonsense is a bit beyond me, I am nearly 70 and don't find it easy getting used to new equipment.

27.48.0 was a typo; people should variously be on 27.46.0 like you, or 27.47.0, depending on box model, ISP, or state of the rollout.

But what nobody on these later releases should be doing is posting in this thread dedicated to an earlier release, now entirely superseded.

You are far from alone in your views, by the way; but best to post them in a thread dedicated to your current release; there is one, and it should be easy to find.

new recording layout designed to look pretty but is actually difficult to use as information layout is chaotic. Pictures make sense as an advert for program but as we've already recorded it we don't need an advert. a simple list of recordings could have been an option.
Box seems to have lost ability to find alternative recordings of same episode. Very Big step backward.
    No networking advance.
Not the device I bought, money back?

All supposed to look aesthetically nice according to BT
    I agree with your comments.
The Humax DTR 2100 box processing speed/ memory has a hard job coping with any change input. Probably too much being used on unnecessary graphics.
I have had thoughts of going back with a factory reset. But the probability of the box upgrading again makes me stop. I also now have problems with the BT sports channels. I can watch all the other streamed internet channels (300 series) i can watch Eurosport ( streamed) but BT sport 1,2,3 ESPN no chance. Blank screens, then picture, pix elation back to blank screens. Prior to  the upgrade i was watch BT sport OK. Something amiss. And yes i have tested the download  speed 38mb/sec.

Poor you, stuck on 26.44.0 Try upgrading to 27.47.0

Oh, and a Factory Reset does not reload an old release, it just sets you up as if you had obtained a box on the current release, but had not set it up yet.

YouView software releases are a one-way street :-(

I agree John, not all of us are children who can't read and need pictures instead !
The 'tiles' are similar to the awful 'window's' tiles on my laptop which went straight into the trash can. I hate the way everything these days panders to the young with little thought to anyone else.
I am nearly 70 and like easy to navigate lists which I can view on one page not lots of little boxes that won't fit on one page and have to be navigated  with the aid of silly blue box .

Absolutely, this is similar to buying a car, getting used to it and the dealer coming round in the middle of the night to change all the controls around, LUNACY

Roy I have only just found this site with its confusing mishmash of threads and the problems caused for me by the update are ongoing and have not been superseded by anything as far as I am aware . Are you telling me there is now another option to the dreadfull little boxes.
