This used to be quite a well-ordered place; the confusing mish-mash of threads has been caused by those who either don't know how to use forum software, or don't care.
But with one exception, which I will come to, you do what you would do on any forum; put your topic in the 'Find or start a conversation' box at the top, and search for a relevan, preferably recent, topic you can add your posting to. If there is no matching topic, then you start a new thread of your own.
But if there is a topic you want to add to, then generally you should add your posting as a Reply; it will then be in chronological sequence within the topic, as you would expect.
The GetSat software, though, has a third level, the Comment. This allows you to Comment on an existing Reply without having to requote it; and the Comments on a Reply are in chronological order under the Reply.
And everything looks very nice and ordered.
But where it is going wrong is that newcomers, not understanding the structure, tend to post Comments at random, often with no relevance to the Reply they are attached to or the Topic of the thread in the first place, instead of posting new Topics or Replies.
Comments are intended only for commenting on the Reply they are attached to; but newcomers are posting them when they should be posting Replies instead, or even starting new Topics (Conversations).
So as you are not Commenting on Ursa's two-month-old Reply, and as your Topic is not the now-superseded 27.44.0 BT zapper box release, you are alas adding to the confusing mishmash of threads, and making it worse :-(

Hi I had just got used to my new Humax box when all of a sudden everything changed overnight without warning , gone was the easy to follow list of recorded programmes to be replaced with childish tiles. How I wish I had purchased a Panasonic PVR. I find it impossible to navigate through the picture tiles . Is there any chance of getting the list back please. The update I have is 27.46.0

I interpreted this to mean that that topic is for discussing the "minor bug fixes" only, and only when I'd read a lot of the posts on it, realised it was a wider scope. The people still posting in this thread maybe because they don't really care what version it is, they just want somewhere to hang their NextGen comments on, they read the other posts and comments here, and they are still relevant to that person's issues.

New UI looks pretty (doesn't bring any noticeable benefits). Recordings list is dreadful, hard to quickly find recordings or to see how many episodes recorded. Please consider adding the option to display recordings in list format. Judging by comments left by users this would appear to be the main bugbear.
What a dreadful update. Everthing is now so much more difficult. Now showing your recordings in picture format rather than a list is far too busy on the eyes and difficult to see the order of things. Now series are not grouped but showing one at a time. If you pause the TV you can now no longer see how far behind you are, everything has to be judged by a line with nothing to measure it against. Why mess with something that was absolutely fine just as it was. Please give us an option to go back to previous settings.

Picture in picture and recording lists etc etc. Left Talk Talk for this reason among many many others. They have removed so many features my Humax box is now a piece of S*it! I loved youview apart from all the catastrophic failures I've had to endure and now I want to throw it out the window!

People don't think that at all and all are welcome what people here would like is for posts to be in the correct thread.
If you press the blue y button scroll to settings click OK then scroll down to software information press ok then look for manufacturer software.
Then please do post in the appropriate thread for your software version.
What it is the forums have been in a bit of a mess due to new users posting in the wrong place. You can do your bit to help by making sure that you post in the correct thread.

Looks wrong to me. Everyone with a base version of 26.40.0, and yet they can be inexplicably rolling out from one 27.4x.0 version to another.
And no mention of 27.50.0 there either.

You may have only just updated, but are you saying you have updated to 27.44.0, which is the subject of this thread?
If not, you would do better to post in a thread relevant to the release you have just received.

I'm not saying it's correct, but I've no particular reason to think that it's wrong (other than the fact that it has been wrong in the past).
And there is no mention of 27.50.0 on that screenshot because that is a screenshot which does not contain data for Humax Retail boxes. Isn't that the only group of boxes so far to have been targeted by the 27.50.0 rollout? (It is correctly mentioned under that category, if you scroll up the page a bit.)

With the increase in software roll-outs, we're looking to close off threads when we can confirm that the majority of customers have moved off the update in the topic of the thread. Having said that, we just checked this particular update and are able to close off this thread and update the table.
We'll try and keep thing process consistent for the foreseeable future
