I don't agree. Kieth described this28.26.0 retail release update as - "Hallelujah - it may only have one small improvement but it will make a huge difference! Finally a back journey out of a recording that returns you to exactly the episode tile you went in on!!!"
To which I totally agree. This update, whilst only a small one, totally transforms the user journey in and out of MyTV and its series recordings access and is a big, if not major, improvement. Then there is 28.35.0 to come, which adds Edit Channels in the guide only. Which isn't perfect but is a start. Since launch, progress has been slow and its been a year now. But now updates are being fired out rapidly compared to OldGen and have been encouraging to see. MyTV is now pretty much perfect on the latest releases. It still needs a few tweaks here and there but they/these are minor qualms. OldGen was world class. NextGen was garbage when it launched, stripped of its features, but its now getting there and get there they will.

I would hope for that by Xmas 2017, though I have no special knowledge here.

Hi K,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I've converted your comment to a reply so it can be found more easily on the 3rd page rather than as a comment on the 1st page.
Can you let me know your YouView box model where this is happening?

That's a shame. I was looking forward to arrival of the tiles.
1 Time select playback A much requested feature and its return will be welcomed.
1 Sort order of displayed recordings (now showing and defaulting to oldest first) The way it is now is the much called-for popular preference.
1 TILES!! Love 'em, but YouView (Phil) has stated further improvements will be made and I'm actually liking the positive direction NextGen is taking, with each release improving upon the last.
I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

Re: the tiles - "(Phil) has stated further improvements will be made"
An improvement for me would be to replace the line of tiles of recordings of episodes of a series with a four by three grid like the main MyView recordings page, including the P(up/down) feature.

Agreed. I don’t know why Series episode are in a line rather than on a grid.

It’s not a secret, just a Michael Caine sort of thing....
Go into MyTV and pick any Series Recording you have there.
Press the Info (i in a circle) button on the remote.
You will find you are in the same place as you would have been if you had pressed OK as usual.
So the paradigm for Series management, one of the most complicated things in MyTV, is a wildly overloaded Info function.
YouView putting this very active aspect of MyTV in the essentially passive Info function explains many of the difficulties they have been having with Series.
As well as why they can’t easily (re)use the MyTV Recordings and Schedules grid presentation in the Series display.
IMNSHO, of course, though YouView are welcome to contradict me if I am off beam here.

I don't understand what you are saying in your Michael Caine sort of thing above Roy, but I am guessing that you mean that there is an intractable problem to be solved before we can have a grid presentation in the Series display.
