are there anticipated to be any issues in using the Youview app to set recordings on the change day. ?

About time the edit (favourites) channels was sorted . Any idea when it will be up and running ?  Cheers .

The only information that's known publicly at present is what Sarah has already posted. No timeframe has been given.

Hi Janie, YouView doesn't offer a 'Favourites' facility. Sarah was referring to the Hide Channels function.
I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

It's the edit channels bit I was referring to. I ignored the favourite part as I got the impression that the user was referring to hide channels that obviously was removed on the rollout of next generation software.

I don't know if it is directly related to the Channel change day but today currently my Youview EPG guide is now missing Nick Junior 484 although my linked YouView app has the channel still listed

Thank you checking this evening after a soft reset I now have the missing ip Nick Junior channel back. there are however some other peculiarities which I will detail in a seperate response.

Unfortunately several of the Freeview news , children's and the BBC Red Button (former 200) channels have been moved not to the expected new LCN but to the 800 to the 813 range.

anyone else experienced anything similar ?

Nope everything is fine and where it should be. There must be a issue on your end. Have you tried a manual retune to see if it makes any difference?

The hidden channels on my EPG have all reappeared after the channel changes today, as we know you're not able to hide them again with the new software. this is very poor ( running 27.50.0)

    Morning zulu17,

We've checked this on our boxes here as well and have noticed the same problem. Our Content team is on the case so will post when I get an update on this :)

Just to confirm, a retune through the Settings does appear to resolve the issue and put the channels back where they should be.

Yes it was the hide channels I meant . Sorry for the confusion and thanks for comments . I'll just be glad when I don't have to scroll through zillions of channels on the guide !

Apparently they're working on it , Chris ....but won't give even a rough idea when it's going to be sorted . Like you say it's very poor .

What a complete mess this has turned my box into! As we are unable to hide channels my guide is full of useless info I don't care to see!

When are we getting the hide channels feature back?

    Hi Chris,

Can you please answer the below questions so we can look into this:
    1. What channels did you have hidden that re-appeared since the update day?
    2. Did you perform a retune which caused the channels to reappear or did they appear on their own?
    Thanks
    Sarah

When are Youview going to remove the channels from the guide that state "Whatever channel has now moved to XYZ"? I now refuse to use the guide at all as it's such a state, I'm using the guide on the BT TV app, much better!

These are provided by Freeview and are nothing to do with YouView. I understand they will be removed in a couple of weeks time.

    Hi impydave,

The placeholder slates should be removed by the end of next week as they are due to stay up for 2 weeks from the Channel Update day.

Thanks for the update, that's a relief they'll soon be gone :)
