Hi Roy: It's a Humax box BT branded. All software shows up to date. Component software 3.2.62. Manufacturer software 28.26.0. The app tells me it's found the box but pressing ok on the box remote doesn't do anything.

I have a G4 & a G5 both on CurrentGen , using the Youview app for the G4 & the BT TV app for the G5.
When I updated the BT TV app it lost the paring & now just gives me an AG106 error when trying to re-pair. Fortunately the current TalkTalk app does work with CurrentGen - I guess because one of their boxes won't be getting the update - so gets me out of a hole.
Trying the BT TV app on my trial G3 running NextGen it pairs easily so it seems a CurrentGen/NextGen issue.
Just tried this with my G4 running 26.40 with all my firewall blocking turned off and it WON'T connect. It sees the DTR2100 OK but I never see the "Allow Connection" on the box.

26.40 is an August 2016 release, so I guess you have elected to remain on Old-Gen.
This does not support the new 'Cloud' pairing (see Stephen's posting above), but does support LAN Pairing (I think, but need Stephen to advise on exact releases).
However, it is likely that you are LAN-paired already, so the box is not offering any further pairing.
Perhaps if you deleted your existing pairing, it would then LAN-pair?
But this is a speculation, not a suggestion; if you are currently LAN-paired, I suggest you leave well enough alone.
Hopefully Stephen will be along shortly to comment on my speculations :-)

What Roy said.
Tim C - what are you trying to do? Did the app not keep the pairing after the upgrade?

I'm trying to pair using another device which was never paired to the box as I can't risk losing the ability to remote record if the update doesn't automatically keep the pairing or fails to re-pair as happened with the BT TV update on my other box.
Yes I'm sticking to Old-Gen as so far what I've seen on my trial box I don't like and what with the missing functionality I'm not going to update any time soon.

Tried the old IT trick of turning everything off and on again, app say's it's detected my box and asks me to press ok on the remote, this does nothing and after some time the app asks me to check my internet connection. My wife's Iphone on the old app still works fine with this box. I'm afraid to delete and update her app as I fear We'll lose the remote record facility altogether.

BTW Although the app says it's detected my box, there are no messages on the tv screen confirming this. Thus pressing the ok button has no effect.

I'm also having difficulty re-pairing after the update. iOS 10.3.3 on several devices won't see the box (I have deleted the old pairing. My wireless router is a D-Link DIR-868L. If I Install an additional wireless access point on my network and connect to it the app picks up the box and pairs ok. It's not a permanent solution though.

Out of interest the TalkTalk app pairs quite successfully & gives the remote recording facility back if the Youview app fails to pair.

Thank you Tim C. That does the trick. The Talk Talk App now controls my BT box whereas the latest BT app currently does not.

I'm having the same issue of the app finding my humax box but I don't get a message TV screen enabling the connection and the app times out.
For the record, previous app worked fine. I have also removed previous pairings on the humax box.
I also have an apple airport plugged into my o2 router for my wifi with the o2's router disabled. I tried re-enabling the o2 router wireless and connecting but still the same issue.
Lastly, use power line Lan from my router in the dining room to my TV in the lounge (via a mini Ethernet switch behind the TV that serves humax, TV, wii etc...). I wonder if this could be a problem.

So here's what worked for me. Problem: Latest version of You View app would not connect to my BT You View Humax box. Solution: Delete the Youview app. Download the Talk Talk app, that paired ok with the BT box. Reload the You view app, it will now pair with the BT box. Finally you can delete the Talk Talk app.

I've tried the native youview app, the BT app and the talk talk app, all to no avail. Quite frustrating.

As I wrote above I couldn't connect with this new app.
However, the issue might have been my problem in that the Youview box was connected via 2 switches, initially an 8 port from my router & then a 5 port at the TV/Youview end.
Taking the 5-port out of the equation has allowed 11.0.18 to connect OK.

Mine works fine with a (Netgear) 5-port Switch at the TV/YouView end.
But from there, it goes direct to the router.
I guess this may be a ‘two switch’ issue, more than a ‘which switch’ issue.

You're very probably right there but strange that the TalkTalk app has no similar problem.

That’s not the strange thing.
You can’t imagine all the things that network traffic is supposed to pass through transparently,
The strange thing is if the YouView app is so timing-sensitive that an extra switch throws it off :-(
