    Hi there Debbie,

Can you let us know what type of device you are trying to use All4 from?

We're aware of an issue with playback where the advert causes the show to reset on Sony devices but not from any others at present.

    Thanks,
    Sarah

Hi Sarah I have a SAMSUNG UE40JU6000KXXU 40 SMART its been doing it for about 3 weeks I thought it would of been fixed by now s0 thought it was best to find out why.
After each break it will pause on the stsrti g screen and the only way of watching something is stopping it when it pauses starting from the beginning and fast ward to tbe section after the break gap

    Hi Debbie,

If this is only happening with your Samsung smart TV and not on a YouView device, we suggest you reach out to Samsung and Channel 4 regarding this and they should be able to help you further.

We're aware that C4 are releasing an app update for Sony devices which should mitigate this issue however we don't know if this app update will affect other smart TVs so it's best to contact them to report the problem :)

    Thanks,

    Sarah

We're getting an awful lot of hits from Samsung users on this forum lately. Perhaps a Google parameter reset is required? Also, could a sticky regarding this Sony issue (and the fact we're not Samsung) be made? As there have been multiple threads started on it.

Channel 4 broke the All4 app on the TVs-that-shall-not be named in an upgrade a few weeks ago.

Many Google queries which mention the All4 post-advert derailment issue reference YouView, as this problem has been so longstanding on the Sony YouView TVs, including alas the thread that seems to say we had a fix.

And all this attracts sufferers from the issue, YouView and non-YouView users alike.

Best we don't mention that other big TV brand that starts with S, or we just put up more markers for those who have that rather than a YouView device.

I already knew that Roy. Hence my request.

    Hi Visionman

There are more people on this forum than just you :-)

It was a word of caution to all about not using the Sa-name in conjunction with the All4 issue, thus moving us up in the exact area of Google rankings we want a lower profile in.

Though if you 'already knew that', why did you use the Sa-name twice in your post?

Bit of a "Don't tell him, Pike" moment there :-)

No. Sams are hardly mentioned on this forum. Its the search hits which can be amended.

And what's the top hit on the Google search owners of the Sa-TV are likely to make?

    Oh dear.....

I'm well aware of that, hence my request. If you don't want to let this one go, thats fine. But I won't be responding any further.

Thanks, Visionman - that will obviate any possibility of more accidental clickbait.
