Can you let us know the box model you are using? Could you also provide the info found on your Software Information page (Settings > Information & Reset > Software Information)? If it's easier, take a picture of this page and attach it to your post
Once updated to the latest software, it shouldn't keep requesting software updates or doing other updates as there's no further updates available at the moment. The update only came out on the 7th February so for this to be going on for a month is rather strange!

Have you tried doing any reboots or maintenance mode resets to your box? If not, we recommend you try this to see if it improves the box's behaviour. We suggest you try a Maintenance Mode Option 2.

Have done option 2 today when once again it asked for the software update, will let you know how it goes.
Are the requests always coming in at the same time of day? Can you let us know roughly what time you get them?
Can you also let us know if you are unplugging/turning off your YouView box from the mains when you're not using it or if it's always plugged in and on?

Box is always plugged in and switched on, I rarely even put it into standby even so only goes there when it times out.
As for when the requests come in, I don't really know. When I first turn on the TV the message is on screen waiting for me. Four days in a row now
