    I seam to be having the same issues as Graham5 that has posted earlier.

    That the box locks up, the remote stops working all at random at no set time or channel.

    The only way to get box working again is to power cycle the YouView box.

    I didn’t try maintainance mode as I didn’t want to
    loose any recordings.

    The maintenance mode I recommended does not delete your recordings. Only Maintenance Mode 3 and 5 will delete your recordings so as long as you avoid these ones for now and do a maintenance mode 2, your recordings will not be delete.
