Youview stopped working after house move

Hello all,

I've recently moved to a new house and now youview in my Sony Bravia TV is not working. I must admit that I've very little knowledge how to setup youview but as far as I remember in my old house I purchased aerial cable , plug it in the wall socket , auto tune youview and it started working. 

I've tried similar steps but all in vain. In my old house ( was on rent) I didnt bother to check if   there was a physical antenna or not ?  Do I need actual physical antenna on my roof to get it working .  Can anyone give me some directions what could be problem ?

Ankeet, welcome to Youview.
Firstly check your router setup. Youview needs the internet to work alongside aerial. Have you manged to get this set up for your main Home PC for other devices? Hopefully all working ok: i.e. username (provided by Broadband supplier/password etc. Should be with your paperwork, on back of router. Then you need to check your TV/Youview network connection. Do you use Powerline adaptors or to a socket? If you do, you will need to reset & pair them correctly. If you need more help, please report back with details of model numbers of equipment. Just to add ankeet, YES you do indeed need an aerial for it to work! You may get by with a indoor aerial that you can purchase £20+ from shops like Argos, but signal may not be strong/may not get all channels. Rood or even a loft aerial is a better idea. The best thing to do is try one out if needed or book an aerial installer to take a look for you. Once you have the aerial & broadband working, the Youview will go through autosetup smoothly, hopefully with no problems. John L
