Lost all channels overnight and won't retune

Our youview box lost all the channels overnight. When I switched on this morning it gives me an error message saying no live TV channels have been tuned and asks me to retune. When I try to re-tune the box is VERY slow to respond to commands and it then just sticks as 0% on the re-tuning screen with no progression. 
I have tried restarting the box several times and it makes no difference.
This is definitely not an aerial problem as if I plug the aerial directly into the TV's Freeview receiver all the channels are found with no problems. 
The youview box is not connected to the internet.
Any ideas why this is happening?

    Welcome to the forum. 

    The YouView box should still be able to find channels even if it is disconnected as this is dependant on the aerial rather than an internet connection. Can you please try a maintenance mode reset (option 2, keep recordings) and then try a retune again to see if this improves things at all? 

    Although the aerial works in the TV, it doesn't rule out signal issues as TVs have built in signal boosters to help with poor signal. If you are able to see the signal strength on the TV, it'd be useful to know how good the strength is.
