I don't want to use YouView on 2019 Sony TV

I bought a Sony TV today but while setting up all my on-demand apps I ran into a problem when opening ITV Hub, I got the YouView start up? The TV will not have an aerial connect to it, YouView only gives me the option to enable app.

Is there any way to disable this? I will be very disappointed if not

    Don't blame you it's chronic. Freeview play vastly superior on Sony.

    On the remote press home.

    Go to settings

    Go to channel set up

    Go to youview set up

    Select disable then yes to confirm. 


    Enjoy the new TV.

    Hi there, 

    Some players such as ITV hub will only work whilst they have an aerial connected and with YouView enabled as they require regional information in order to provide you with the right selection of content for your location. You can disable YouView as Goodbye has mentioned above however you will not be able to access some of the players are they are only available through the YouView interface.
