Failed recordings

Half of my scheduled recordings are failing to record. This is happening over all channels at any time of day. I have just received a new you view box but it is still happening. Any ideas?  Also does anyone know why Talktalk has to “wake up “ every day when I press the red button on the remote control.  It never did that with my previous box. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

    Welcome to the forum.
    Have you explored the settings menus? If you look under standby settings (follow this link for instructions):
    You hopefully will be able to set the box as you want it. Your box probably is set for energy/smart mode to save electricity during night. It can be adjusted or even turned off.

    If you still have problems, then you may need to reset your box & explore further. More info can be found if you type in the search bar above: eg "maintenance mode".  Please let the forum know how you get on. John L

    Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.
