ITV & C4 Hub Not working after adverts
Bought a new Sony Bravia 4K UR2 TV and have activated Youview and tuned it. When i try to watch anything on ITV Hub though, it plays the pre programme adverts but can’t play the programme. It displays ‘Whoops there’s something wrong here’. Why is this? Other apps like BBC iplayer, Amazon Prime and Netflix work fine. On another thread they suggested a factory reset but this hasnt worked for us....any other ideas for a fix ?

Welcome to the forum. I think you might have to wait until Monday morning when the Youview staff can investigate further for you. It seems to be a lot of problems currently with Sony tv's & Itv player's error message. Have you tried using the Itv app via the Sony tv's own menu/apps menu, instead of via Youview built-in to the Sony tv? (or even turn off Youview maybe & test if this works better until a fix comes along?) Only other suggestion is to do a search through the forum (top of screen at help/support) to see if anyone has a similar fault/suggestion. Good luck. Let the forum know how you get on. John L
The only thing to do, if/when a factory reset does not work, is to get on to the broadcasters and say that while they have succeeded in getting you to sit through one set of adverts, you won’t be watching any more, during those programmes that they don’t take you back to.
And probably be put off even trying to watch anything else on their channel, unless and until they deal with the problem.
We are aware of an issue where ITV Hub, All4 and My5 don't play the content after the adverts. This is due to you not having ticked all the boxes during set up in regards to the privacy policy on the Sony TVs.
We would suggest performing a factory reset on the TV and going through the set up again ensuring you've checked through all the set up info and ticked the privacy policy boxes. Once you've done this you should be able to watch content on these apps without any issues
