Message pops up quite regularly but last week it completely stopped all channels for a couple of days, so did a turn on/off then retuned and no have no channels at all. I have tried retuning with aerial out then back in again. Have plugged into tv but still doesn’t pick up anything so know it’s not the box. Aerial is fine as far as I can tell so what next? Antenna is mendip and it says weak signal

    Welcome to the forum :) 

    There's been ongoing maintenance at the Mendip transmitter for the last couple of weeks which will cause a weakened signal so it's likely that this is the cause of the problem. We don't know how long the maintenance will last however you can try getting in touch with Freeview/Digital UK and they may be able to give you a better idea of how long this will last for.
