Am I Losing My Mind?

omendataomendata Member Posts: 13
As of last week both of my Talktalk boxes DN370T & DN372T look as though they have had a secret update as the screen colours look totally different and a much more blue colour and better to read.

I checked for any updates but the last one seems to have been in February!

This has got me thinking that perhaps I am losing my mind?
Am I going crazy or has anyone else noticed this?

    @omendata

    The appearance of the screens from a YouView box can be radically changed by attaching it to a different ISP; it holds three skins, a retail skin, a BT skin, and a TalkTalk skin.

    Besides colours, this can even condition things like the recent migration of Help to the top right of the screen, which does not (did not?) occur on all three skins at the same time,

    But I dont think it can change what any given skin looks like, without a new software release.

    Perhaps we should consult a skin specialist; @Stephen?

    NB: for those who like my Google treasure hunts, the cat is thinking “What do you want me to do with that, Sunbeam?”

    Extra credit if you don’t have to look it up 😛

    Yes, the skins are part of the UI software, so need an update to change them.
    @omendata are your TalkTalk boxes on a TalkTalk broadband connection? It sounds like you might have lost your ISP autoconfiguration settings perhaps, so your skin has reverted to a retail/non-isp one? If you bring up the Guide, what is the logo in the top-left?

    Just changed ISP from Talktalk to Virgin so that must be it then!
    No logo just Youview!
    So it now has the Retail Skin - funny as its better than the official Talktalk one!

    Thanks guys!

    PS. No idea Cat and Cucumber @Roy
