DTR T2000 network issue

We had a big electrical storm last night with a momentary power outage which probably included a power surge as well. Is it possible that this power surge could have knocked out the network connection on our Humax DTR t2000? Everything was fine yesterday.
Checked with a different cable and in different sockets in the router and nothing seems to make a difference.

Cheers
David

Have you tried re-booting your router and the Youview box, and anything else in between?

That’s why all the electrical stuff in my lounge, apart for the PLA, are on a surge protected extension socket.

There’a a little light on the Ethernet In on the YouView box; can you see it flickering? If it is solid On, or more likely solid Off, this isn’t good.

A test you can do is to get a laptop, turn off the WiFi, plug in the Ethernet connection that normally goes into the YouView box, and see if you can surf the web.

If you can, it points to an issue with the YouView box; if not, then it is upstream back to the router or beyond.
These tests for COVID-19 get right up my nose.
