YouView Box Internet Issues

The internet in my home works fine on all other devices, but my YouView box seems unable to connect to the internet at all past 7pm. I’ve restarted the router, switched the cables round, switched the box off and on again several times and even if it rarely does connect it is extremely slow to access Netflix / iPlayer. It buffers every five seconds and doesn’t even load the pictures half the time.

Have you got someone in your house who starts gaming around 7pm?
Also, try measuring your internet speeds before and after 7pm - fast.com is very good for this - and report them here.
Contention starting in the early evening is not the general problem it used to be, though for you it sounds like it still is.
Youview is not Wi Fi enabled, so a cable connection is required.
