    Hello tpayne,
Welcome to youview forum. Does this happen on all channels? Try testing on channel 101, 107, standard SD channels like bbc1, itv etc. If you find the Hd channels are breaking up this may be caused by interference with TV reception issues especially with 107. Some of channels have changed recently. When did you last retune your box? Might be worth doing a full retune.

The Youview boxes do suffer from bad interference. Worth swapping hdmi cable, if you have another to test and see if an improvement. Also try changing TV setting from 1080p to 1080i. You can view the TV strength/ quality level view settings menu to see if any improvement between swapping channels and 1080p to I adjustment. Have a go and see if this helps. Please let forum know how you get on or if you need more help. John L
Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.

BT won’t be able to help with an aerial problem 😢

Is the breakup just when the boiler kicks in initially, or all the time it is running?

If the former, it may well be a capacitor on the boiler controls needing replacing.

And a new aerial lead won’t address problems in the aerial downlead, from the roof or the loft, which may not be the best quality cable, and may be running parallel to the wiring for the boiler on some of that journey.

I suggest you consult a local aerial specialist, particularly as your BBC signals aren’t good either, and he will know what improvements to suggest, and whether or not the boiler needs looking at also.

In Settings, on the YouView box (far right on the Main Menu, or possibly disguised as a cogwheel at top right these days), you can check the Signal Strength and Signal Quality for the affected channels, and see what these are.

And it might be worth you posting some of those here, so we can comment on them.

I will try suggestions later.  There was interference before boiler was on and have checked signal strength which is not great, strength is around 80% but quality around 56%.  Never had a problem before with freeview and aerial or sky (I know this is different).

80% Signal Strength is fine, but Signal Quality should always be 100%, so there is something very wrong with yours.

Possibly very low quality of the down cable feed from the aerial, with the earth broken, or interference, like the boiler interference, feeding into it.

Get the measurements onscreen, turn the boiler off for a minute or two, see if the Quality improves.

But either way, get that local aerial specialist round, with his meters and his compass, and see what he recommends.
