Can you build the update into the software.

Hello,
please can you build the update into the software for youview  
have done maintenance mode on the box and used USB internet delete recordings so the software was download and installed but on setup the box checked for updates and told me there was a quick update that  needed to be download and installed, can this update be build into the software so that software is up to date.
Also when the download starts it is very slow to start and the white box is empty for a couple of minutes.

Maybe the update wasn’t available at the time the download was done in the MM, and only arrived a few seconds after that?

But in general, such an approach would only work for Options 4 and 5, so Options 1 to 3 would still have to do the subsequent check.

And there is a great deal to be said for having Options 4 and 5 put the box back how it was before, and updates being a quite separate process; the complexity of a combined approach would be as the square of the complexity of the two individual steps.

However, if you repeat the Option 4 or 5 now your software has been updated, you will find that the update is now built in to the download you get.
