DTRT2000 sound drop-outs on Now Tv app

I signed up to Now TV yesterday. When watching sky sports through the Now TV app on my DTRT2000 box I am experiencing regular sound drop outs. The picture is perfect. A quick search on the Now TV community pages would suggest that many people have experienced this over the course of 2020. YouView are obviously aware of this issue as there have been software updates and bug fixes for this issue on other models (eg BT T2200, 29th October). Will there also be a fix for this issue on the DTRT2000?

    This fix will be coming to the T2000 devices in an update however we don't have an ETA on this at the moment. Once it's ready to go out in an update, we'll post about it with the software release notes in the Announcements section of the forum :)

    I’m glad that there is a fix coming. I know you don’t have a date, but is it likely to be weeks away or months away? I find the drop outs very annoying and if there isn’t going to be a fix for a long time I think I would be tempted to cancel my Now Tv subscription until then.
