STV Player: Missing box sets

We have four ways to stream STV Player - Android app, web page, Virgin app, and Youview app.

I've noticed that some box sets, e.g. Rogue and The Firm, are available on the Android app, via a browser, and on Virgin, but are not on the Youview app.

Licensing issue?

It is most likely a licensing issue for the shows , STV should be able to confirm.
There are contact details listed under content providers at Useful Contacts - YouView Support
I had a quick look on a few of my devices and found Rogue on Ipad app but not on my Samsung Tv or Roku app. Also i noticed that Rogue was not able to cast from the Ipad app giving a message  "Due to rights restrictions the current programme is not available to cast"

Yes. The player has Primeval : New World which is not available on the Youview app. I emailed STV about this and they replied with the explanation. Still  doesn't make sense to me.

Pity, as watching via apps on the Virgin Tivo is sometimes not a good experience. Luckily, there's nothing that I particularly want to watch. I just noticed that some programmes were missing on Youview.

I can’t find either of those shows on the itv hub on YouView, Roku, IPad, LG GX, or Samsung JS9000, so it isn’t just YouView.

 STV Player and ITV Hub have different content anyway. I wouldn't be surprised if a particular programme was on one but not the other. For example, on every platform (including Youview), Rake, Thorne, Romper Stomper, and the US version of The Bridge are on STV but not on ITV.
