Madness

Just took up a Now Sports pass for 10 months at £20 per month.
Already got boost for £1 till October so that's a total of £21 for muti room prem football in HD.
The equivalent on Sky would be £67 on a 18 month contract.
BT would charge £50 but admittedly that includes BT Sport.
I already have access to the BT Sport app with my mobile so that's me set for the season.
Really just don't understand the attraction of subscribing to these companies...it is to me economical madness, just don't get it.
Ignore this if you disagree.

@ kodikid, then why do it? Why waste your money? The companies love "impulse" consumers like you! Maybe I am slightly biased, I don't watch much sport, only what is provided via tv license already. At least the Wimbledon tennis was provided in full HD across the streams recently. John L

Been purchasing Now passes since 2013.
A pre season event every August is finding the best Now Sports deals.
On the list of impulse buyers I simply wouldn't figure.
But you inadvertently made a good point .
The beauty of streaming is the impulse element, no 18 or 24 month contract just the flexibility to come and go as you please.
I too enjoyed Wimbledon in UHD on my T4000 and the Euros but sadly if you want prem football you have to pay....finding the best deal was the point I obviously failed to get across.

I got the £20 a month Sky Sports offer email as well but I'm still to make my mind up.

The football season kicks off tomorrow with the FA Community Shield. Leicester V Man City, which is on ITV1 from 4.30pm. Kick off 5.15pm. So that will be 35 minutes of adverts and 10 minutes of build up.

If anyones watched The 100 on BBC2 (short form cricket) there wasn't one betting firm advertised. All the teams shirts have food companies advertising sponsorship on them such as 'Hula Hoops' or 'Walkers Crisps' ect, which was refreshing to see. Also all the grounds have been packed with children which was also good to see.

    Sorry Visionman have to disagree.
No junk food should be allowed to be associated with sport.

You mean they way McDonalds sponsor kids sport charities? And I think you missed out an important 'In my opinion' there.

    Re McDonald's sponsorship.
Two wrongs don't make a right.
As for my opinion,  we'll it's a bit bigger then that as it's scientifically proven there's a link between junk food and child obesity.

    Apologies
Realised it might be too intricate.
Roy made a joke involving a marathon.
    Marathon is a running sport.
    Hence " running 🏃‍♀️joke"
    Get it.

Oh dear just realised the irony.

    @kodikid

I got it. It raised some snickers.

Jokes are a funny thing though. Hearing yesterday that a German coach at the Olympics had punched a horse that had refused at a fence, and thus lost its rider an almost certain gold medal, I said “Oh, was it a Suffolk Punch?”, only to be met with blank incomprehension.

Perhaps it will fare better here?

Your jokes are akin to lost baggage.

You'll get them in a few days.

Roy do me a favour and pm Visionman to explain this one.

    Why, has he blocked you?

But your jokes are akin to excess baggage.

Except it’s us who pay the heavy price for them 😛

OK! OK! Enough is enough, thanks. Just in case and to be clear I can't take anymore of this baggage.
