ITV Hub Crashing At Adverts - Sony Bravia

I have a Sony Bravia KE48A9 and as others have posted, ITV Hub on Youview regularly crashes at the adverts. I have found this with Cheat, The Darling Buds of May and This Morning, so far. 

Please can this be looked into.

I see you have created two separate threads for the same issue, which is usually deprecated.

But it is a shame you have not had a reply to your first post on this, unlike this ready reply to the problem on the YouView boxes:-

which could well be exactly the same thing (though it might not).

I'm really sorry I missed your first post, I didn't get an email notification for it for some reason so I didn't see it. 
Does this happen on all episodes you watch of these shows? If you can let us know any episode or series numbers that'd help so we can test the same ones you've been trying to watch. Please also let us know your current TV software and YouView app software versions. TV software can be found by pressing Help on the remote, it should be displayed in the bottom left corner. YouView software can be found through Settings > Apps > Live TV & Catch Up.

Thanks for the reply. I have found that this issue happens intermittently accross various content on ITV Hub. 

For example, I was watching episode 4 of No Return tonight (21 Feb) and the programme crashed during the ad break at  20 minutes 13 seconds. 

This issue seems to happen at least one at some point on any episode of This Morning

The TV settings state version 9, Android sexurity patch 1 July 2021, kernel version 4.9.125 

Youview version is 2020-11-26-d18b31ab1e

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We've not been able to reproduce this on the same and other models of Sony TV so far. If this happens again please let us know the programme & series/episode numbers and we'll re-test on those examples to try and reproduce.

Hi Sarah, this issue continues to affect me very regularly when watching ITV Hub, Yesterday I watched Coronation Street from Friday 8 April and the episode wouldn't load, so I had to exit youview, re-launch it and go back to the episode, 

The same thing happened to me tonight watching the episode for Monday 11 April. The adverts played before the the start of the episode, but then there were the 3 loading dots and the programme failed to start, I again exited youview and relaunched. The same thing occured 44 minutes in after an advert break, 

Having read similar comments here, it appears this is a common problem. Has ITV been consulted about their software? Alternatively, is it possible to reinstall the ITV Hub app in a Sony TV? It is sych a common occurrence that the ITV hub app via youview is not fit for purpose.

Think the issue is Sony rather then youview..fair to say I rarely indulge in the itv hub but on the odd occasion I feel like feasting on repetitive ad's it works perfectly on my pro box.

I’m having exactly the same issues on 2 YouView boxes in the house! It’s so irritating!

Could you please share details of your box models, ISP provider and some examples of the content (titles/episode numbers) that you've seen this with?
