Click the chevron (downward v shape) top right on Home Screen
Select ‘Edit Profile’
Scroll down below SAVE to where your name is, and look in the list to its right
Select ‘Signature Settings’
Select ‘Strip images out of signatures’
Select ‘SAVE’ there

You will find the Community becomes unen(cu)cumbered for you.

With luck the cucumbers will not reappear for at least another two years.

Also if you're on a desktop browser, install the Stylus extension and add a rule for community.youview.com with the following:

.DataTable.DiscussionsTable .Item.New .DiscussionName a.Title,
.DataTable.DiscussionsTable .Item.Unread .DiscussionName a.Title {
    font-weight: bold;
}

And you'll see any threads with updates will be bold when you visit!
