Replacement remote control

I need help pairing my replacement youview remote with my youview box.
I've paired the TV but can't find instructions about how to pair the box.

    Greetings, and welcome to the Community!

    You don’t have to pair the remote to the YouView box, except on the very new BT Pro box; before this model, every YouView remote works every YouView box of the same make (Humax (BT/Plusnet/Retail) or Huawei (TalkTalk). [Edited]

    So, having first switched the remote from TV to AV, so it goes back to controlling the YouView box not the TV, just try it.

    Please do let us know how you get on; and if you have any further difficulties, let us know, including the model(s) of box and remote that you have, and we can try to sort those out as well for you.

    Have you checked the batteries?

    Or as alluded to above your replacement remote mustn't be compatible with your original box.

    If you own a Humax youview box a Huawei youview remote is useless and vice versa. 
    Ignore this if you disagree. Oh wait I just remembered I don't give a

    Corrected accordingly. Hopefully ‘replacement’ here means ‘same model remote as the one that got broken/lost, etc.’
