Its being reported on the BT community Forums as well as in the Digital Spy forums. That was expected Nat Geo is to finally be removed as a channel and from 30th June.
Also from next week the Alibi channel as well as the NBC News channel will be added to BT customers with the Now Entertainment pack.
Seems BT customers have started getting emails about the changes.
Will Alibi and NBC News also be added to people that take Now direct.
I used to at times watch Alibi when I used to have one of the older BT TV packages.
would be good if Alibi was also on Now for us taking Now direct.
Hope they will also be in HD.

National Geographic is joining the rest of it's cousins on Disney.

Bizarrely Sky think adding the Alibi channel is a like for like replacement.

Anyone buying now directly will have access to it.

Very much doubt it will be in HD as Sky usually keep HD channels for it's main platform.

HD can be attained for as little as £3 on NOW TV. They call it a Boost and its advert free.
I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

    Absolutely....

but only a select amount of sports, movies and  programmes can be obtained in HD

It's certainly not the majority of output.

Boost is great for the extra screens, dolby sound and of course getting rid of the ad's  but pretty rudimental on the HD front.

Yes, but you also need one or more of the Entertainment, Cinema, Sports or Hayu memberships, or it has nothing to boost.

But yes, it gives you HD - of which there is a LOT on Now, don’t know what you’ve been watching, @kodikid; 5.1; stops the adverts - but not the unskippable promos, including one for the programme you thought you were about to watch, like as not; and lets three people watch different things at once, instead of the standard one.

    @kodikid

What, the live channel? We never watch that.

But all the programmes are available in HD, and can be watched on catchup in HD, if you have Boost. If you can call it catchup, when most of the programmes are available to watch non-linear even before the linear transmission.

@Roy I agree their is loads of HD content on Now.
The main channel on Now that I watch mostly in the evenings and during the week is Sky Witness and 90% of that and its content is in HD even via on demand/catch up.
@kodikid as Roy says there is more HD content on Now than you soon to think.
My £2 a month offer on Now HD Boost comes to an end in the next few weeks.
So I going to try and see if they will give me another offer on Boost.
Its good Alibi is coming to Now and some of that may be in HD or hopefully upscaled HD.
Gold channel is in HD on now but some programmes and content or only in upscaled HD. Not as good as full HD but it's better than nothing at all.
All we need now is Eden to come to Freeview or Now then we will have the full lineup of UKTV channels
