I notice that several non Youview devices had the ITV Hub replaced by ITV X today.
Do we know when the app will start appearing on Youview devices ?

Will have a look at my Amazon Firestick later when I get in.
Hopefully the Youview box will also get the ITVX update soon.
I dont have the BT prob box but one of the other Youview boxes.

When it does arrive we'll lose the Britbox app as that's now incorporated into itvx.

Bizarrely subscribers to itvx can access Britbox but current Britbox subscribers can't access the paid for segment of itvx.

ITVX is still not arrived on my Amazon firestick.
    Still have the ITV Hub.
@kodikid not that I have Britbox or even want Britbox as have no interest in getting it but it seems strange that subscribers to ITVX can get Britbox. Yet those that already have Britbox cant get the paid version of ITVX.

For those services with an integrated search, like YouView, allow for a more complex transition to a new app like itvX, now incorporating Britbox, than on those platforms that can simply swap out the old app and swap in the new one without concerning itself with the data or metadata, as Roku can.

Totally agree. YouView - simple on top, complex underneath.

So that's why youview hasn't added any new apps in literally years and doesn't have
    Disney
    YouTube
    Apple
    FilmRise ...

No. Thats not the reason. Yet again you declare yourself the sage of all things YouView. Thankfully, thats not the case and so will stick with the Tech team. Best option.

Sage - one (such as a profound philosopher) distinguished for wisdom. A mature or venerable person of sound judgment. The opposite word to sage is fool.

Disney + is now one of the main streaming services that I watch.
Even my sister in the last short while has started watching Disney + a little more and also using her 2021 Amazon Firestick 4k that I got her last Christmas.

ITVX has arrived on both my Firestick a few hours ago. Both Firesticks are HD versions.
When will Youview be getting ITVX. Not that I now use the Youview box much for apps.
Seems like the new pro box is getting most of the newer updates and the other boxes are slowly starting to be left out.

    Hi @Darren,
Yes my Amazon firestick eventually got it today, but I had to push the app to install after two attempts. I think it would automatically install replace the itv hub app. Yes when are Youview going to have it? Don't be left behind. Good question. John L
Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.

As has been said, this is down to ITV and their rollout schedule.
My smart TV is also still waiting for this and I'd expect this to update first.

Just checked the TalkTalk comparison of boxes here
    and spotted a discrepancy here.
In the table of comparisons there is a red X against ITVX on the plus box, which is the 372T box, but under the drop down for apps and players the same box includes ITVX.

I've requested clarification and will let you know what I hear.

Actually i believe no one  from Youview despite it being raised on this community has responded as to when ITV X will be rolled out which I find disappointing.

Our FVP TV says ITV Hub on the Home/apps screen. When launched it's ITVX.

@jonesh So does my Netgem box but my TV still launches the Hub.

Just put the TV on for the World Cup Final to be informed I have an Update pending. Yes it's ITV X.
Rollout has or is reaching LG TV's now.

LG TVs are very good at not insisting on making updates until you are ready to accept them.

In the case of today, it was a WebOS update, which I accepted this morning on my GX.

But I didn’t recall having itvX, so after your post, I put the TV on to check, and itv Hub was still there. So I thought I would go into it, at which it politely asked me if I really wanted Hub, given that it had X waiting in the wings, so I chose X, and it rapidly installed.

Nice of the app to ask though, in case I was balls-out to watch something right then, and didn’t want to wait even for the swift install of the new version 😛
