Repeatedly crying on a youview forum on a issue that youview have no control whatsoever  is next level pointless.
    @kodikid

Perhaps if you had started your own thread for your completely off-topic and irrelevant interjection, no repetition would have been required?

Do you actually believe repeating the post was required...

Do you actually believe anyone cares what you say? Really?

    Hi Darren
One things for certain...it will be on your firestick long before it hits youview.
For those services with an integrated search, like YouView, allow for a more complex transition to a new app like itvX, now incorporating Britbox, than on those platforms that can simply swap out the old app and swap in the new one without concerning itself with the data or metadata, as Roku can.

Totally agree. YouView - simple on top, complex underneath.
    Remind you of anyone?

Nice to see everyone is still getting on famously here!

I am an owner of a BT TV Pro box once more and would like to echo (for what it is worth), the disappointment of @zulu17 over the itvX implementation on the YouView platform and add Channel 4 (well, the artist formerly known as All4), to the list as well.

I don't need a 24 hour streamed channel showing The Chase on repeat, but I do expect that if I pay for a premium subscription, the experience should not be downgraded on any platform.

Removing the ads but not streaming in HD when both apps do so happily on many other devices (including my 7 year old TV), is just not good enough. I have told both itv and Channel 4 this, but YouView need to grow a pair and start demanding better on behalf of their customers.

    Hello again.  :)

Like I said previously the last app added to youview was Britbox several years ago.

Youview's website looks like it hasn't been updated since its inception.

Its last funding was only for two years which expires next march.

    Youview retail finished years ago.

BT have sold the sports and BT tv is soon to be relaunched as EE.

BT and Sony don't even acknowledge that it even exists with no mention of youview anywhere.

Read into the above what you will but the evidence seems like the writing is on the wall.

Probably just going to become the internal platform dev team within the BT Group, focussed on EE TV which the service is morphing into.

Youview is still a good pvr and with the basic apps but you are now better also adding the likes of the Amazon Firestick to go with your TV as it has almost all the apps and gets software updates at last once or  sometimes twice a month.
Even the Firestick remote gets software updates every now and again. If you using the Firestick Bluetooth remote.
