Recording not an option

When i press the record button nothing happens no its not the remote i have reset in maintenance mode and still no option to record i can pause rewind still and access my recordings so cant be hard drive just when the the world cup is about to start.

    Hi @abp, welcome to the forum. Why can't it be the hard drive? My guess would be the hard drive buffer has got corrupted. Yes, you can still play recordings, but there are several partitions on the hard drive: buffer, recordings, 7day guide data and a bit more. The buffer partition stays on continuously with 2 hour loop when watching live tv. If you have had your pvr for quite a while, this can happen over time. Also check how much disk space you have remaining, could also be causing the problem. John L
    Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.

    I did a hard reset this morning and it seems to be working as normal now.
