ITV Hub on Sony 2019 Smart TV

Belated hny to all. I’ve seen all the kerfuffle about ITVX not being available on Humax first gen boxes. We have 2019 49” Smart TV, but I can’t seem to find a way to update from ITV Hub to ITVX. (Neither via app on Home Screen nor navigation via Youview players etc)
Am I likely to be in same boat as early Humax owners? Firestick on another TV seems to have morphed automatically, whereas Manhattan T3 with Freeview Play also stuck with ITV Hub app-appreciate that’s the opposition but surprised as PVR only bought last year.

ITV are responsible for the rollout and it is being phased. If your TV is capable of running X, then it will be updated. The concensus, at least initially, was that if you can use the ITV Hub without issue, your device would be updated.
There now seems to be some confusion, with YouView bar 1st gen devices, on the initial list for update according to the press release, but TalkTalk, for example, saying on their comparison page that it wont be available.
It's probably a case of just wait and see.

ITVX is now available on Sony Android TVs with the YouView Live TV & Catch-up app. See this post for more information.
