Hi all - a change has been made regarding the D3&4 MUX and are seeing an improvement as a result.
When was that? I got a failed-to-record on E4 last night.
The change was made on the 20th of April, although we're aware there may still be a few issues - are your recording failures linked to E4/that specific programme or is it a wider failure?

I did also get another couple of D3&4 failed-to-record errors over the weekend of 29/30, one on Film4 on the 30th and I don't remember the other. As I stopped taking notes ages ago on what each tuner is set to I can't report that info.
I also can't really report on how it is generally as I changed my recording habits for the affected repeat recordings yonks ago, using the HD channels instead, for those that have them, and using my 20 year old Pioneer HDD/DVD recorder for those that don't.
So aside from the occasional one-off recording I've generally got into the habit of avoiding D3&4 on the YouView boxes. I did, however, set up one test and can report that one of the previously failing cases, recording Ch4 News (SD) with the watched tuner on SDN and the 2nd on BBCA, now seems to work ok.
I'll report back if I get any further problems....
Ch4 News (SD) failed to record tonight, with the watched tuner on SDN and the 2nd on BBCA. However, that box went on to record Naked, Alone & Racing to Get Home ok at 9pm on E4.
Which is fortunate as on my other YouView box the "backup" recording of that programme at 10pm on E4+1 failed to record. That was with the watched tuner on BBCA and the 2nd on BBCB.
So, the problem is most definitely not fixed. Useless.... :-(
Left over test recordings on my second box, Ch4 News (SD) gave a partially recorded of a mere 2 seconds tonight and MAFS at 20.30 on E4+1 failed to record. Still broken.

I have been point towards this information as I have recently been having all recordings failing to start when the PVR (both my BT Youview 4000T and my old Digitalstream) is left on the Freeview 100 channel which is on this MUX (from the the Oxford / Beckley transmitter). Note that if left on say ITV2 also on this MUX or on Red Button 250 which is on a different MUX then recordings do start successfully.
This started happening after I did a full retune of both boxes to take account of the BBC1 HD regional changes. My suspicion is that for some reason the data stream being received now when on Freeview 100 is using old channel information. I know that it should be the same data stream as when on ITV2 but that is a curiosity which I think bears investigation. Would you tech guys be able to check the data stream to see what is what?
I seem to be the only user getting this problem but then I can well believe that I am in a minority of one who likes to leave the boxes on Freeview 100. I do that so I do not accidentally see or hear a spoiler when I turn on the box to watch the recording of a sports event. For now, my workaround is to use Red Button 250 instead but that is more key presses away from the main channels so not quite as convenient.
