I have a Sony tv and the muting symbol in the right bottom corner is constantly there, I’ve tried most things does anyone know how to remove it?

Is this just when watching on the YouView/Live & Catchup TV side or always?

What happens when you press or long press the Mute button on the remote - does this toggle the sound on and off but the symbol stays there, or what?

Sony’s universal advice in the case of anything odd like this is to Factory Reset the TV (and yes, I know that’s a pain 😢) but try it, if you haven’t already.

If none of this fixes it, come back with the model number of the TV, and a screenshot showing the issue.

The muting symbol still stays when hold down the mute button? Haven’t reset the tv yet as wanted to leave that as last option

Hi @georgina0121_ , I would reset your Sony tv instead of "waiting for it to sort itself out". It probably won't! Find a moment when no one else is watching the tv & do a reset as per @Roy 's advice. Hopefully problem solved. John L
