Greetings, and welcome to the Community!
Your second question contains the answer to your first question, BUT:-
T2000s have never been able to connect wirelessly, at least not without a nanorouter hanging off an Ethernet connection to the box.
So, is your problem:-
You have a T2000 on PowerLine Adapters, and it has stopped connecting?
You have a T2000 on Ethernet, and have forgotten that it never did connect over WiFi?
You have a BT Pro box that has stopped connecting over WiFi, and you have posted about this in completely the wrong thread?
Something else?
The answers to these questions will greatly assist us in trying to find you a resolution.
I would do a complete factory reset, but I've got about 1TB of recordings I don't want to lose.
Is there any way of saving the recordings temporarily onto another device?
Apart from you not immediately getting this release, which is likely being rolled out in a phased manner, and is still shown as rolling out:-

If not, there is nothing wrong; just wait until this release rolls out to you, as it should. (And then see if you can spot a blind bit of visible difference anyway).
On the day before this release is scheduled to update your box overnight, you would be able to update to it, but normally, within Settings; no Maintenance Mode update needed, nor even a soft reset, though either of these would bring it in; but again only on the day before the scheduled overnight update anyway.
Check the above link from time to time; if it says ‘Complete’, but you are still on the release before, on a YouView box properly connected to the internet, then that is indeed the time to raise the issue here.
Re saving your recordings to another device, this is problematic; you can copy SD recordings, which are unencrypted, off using a PC or laptop, but the HD recordings are encrypted, and so can only be copied off in real time from the specific YouView box that made them, with normal equipment, via digital to analogue conversion. Though if you have something that can record over component (not composite) video, you can still keep the signal at 1080p.
But, as above, you haven’t so far indicated any reason why this might be necessary.
