Open letter to YouView management
One of the functions of running a project is to manage the expectations of the customers. Setting up a forum implies a desire to provide the customers with a voice.
Whilst the customers have been doing their part in voicing their views, YouView don't seem to have reciprocated by managing expectations.
Over the past few months there seems to have been a "perfect storm" building on this forum, which seems to be moving towards breaking point.
Do YouView management intend to address this issue, or is it not viewed by them as an issue which needs addressing?

I was hoping that Youview would enable me to be Sky free, but sadly this appears to be a dream.
The forums are not just designed as a method of us to deliver product updates, they are mainly here to allow the community to help each other with issues, and discuss the product. We value the support you provide for customers and look to provide feedback on developments where we can.

I take it that's a "no" then - no change ...... or have I misunderstood?
And after saying that....
ITYM 'Piers to Piers' :-)
Certainly, I don't think the amount of time I've been spending on here is merited any longer, and I am now so frustrated by the lack of progress from YouView, and the lack of any forward plan by which to measure that lack of progress, that I could spit.
So I shall take the advice of those who suggest we should enjoy YouView for what it is instead of what it might be, and just watch the damn thing, instead of indulging in endless and fruitless speculation on here, interspersed with trotting out largely the same answers to largely the same questions, for want of a decent sticky FAQ facility in this wholly dysfunctional forum software.
I did have a cunning plan for perhaps getting round this, but I shan't bother now.....
Thanks Roy, God bless and goodnight.
John.
But this does not mean they can't tell us anything.
In the past we've had occasional hints or indications from Piers as to how things are going or what may be planned. These seem to have dried up.
But just a small amount of this kind of information would go a long way towards keeping us involved.
Thanks.
Phil
I suggest that you act on this as soon as possible.
It seems that the forum may have just lost two of its most active contributors - Roy and sam.
