red button

when I go to channel 80 bbc news the red button to access text does not appear, how do I get it back?

    Hi johnnyshank,

    If you are still having this issue, I recommend soft rebooting your box. To do this press & hold the power button on the FRONT of your YouView box for 8-10 seconds.

    This will restart your YouView box and should restore functionality to your red button service on BBC News.

    Let me know if that has resolved your issue.

    I'm sorry I should have posted that I turned the box off from the mains and rebooted,i now have the red button back again.
    although I still have no sound when I turn the box on.
