Can't see this mentioned anywhere yet - BT have started rolling out an update to its YouView boxes - https://community.bt.com/t5/YouView-box/Accessibility-options-Software-update/td-p/1177594

What's the equivalent update for retail boxes? This is getting confusing as BT refer to it as 'Feature Release 9'

Been waiting for someone to get this and post a software number (not available on my box yet). Guessing it will match the latest retail release but could be slightly older (no mention of the Scart output fix in the BT thread) but we may know more when someone posts a software number.

Guessing by the low key announcement that there is nothing new in it that the retail release hasn't got already....shame after waiting I was hoping for at least an extra few fixes like the IP surround sound issue and the REC light issue.

So, is this update for Youview boxes from BT and Youview retail boxes on BT infinity?

    Hi Old Welsh Dragon,

This is an update which brings the Accessibility Features and all the fixes mentioned in the Automatic Software Update February 2014  to all BT branded boxes.

YouView Humax retail boxes already have Accessibility Features from the December update and are currently receiving Automatic Software Update February 2014 regardless of their ISP.

    Hi Old Welsh Dragon,

As long as you have a YouView Humax retail box you will receive the retail update regardless of the ISP.

    Hi Phil
Do you know why I might only be on software version: 15.11.0. I'm with BT on a Humax DTRT1000.

    Thanks

Hi Mike, BT boxes had their software roll-out a number of days ago and as this is a phased release not all boxes will take it up at once. It can take a bit of time for the box to take on the update.

    Hi Phil
Thanks for your speedy reply. I forgot to say that it performed an update overnight & is still only on 15.11.0. I appreciate that they are rolled out over a period of time but this seems to be very much behind what I understand to be the current version 17. I have only had the box for about 5 weeks and am generally very pleased with it & the service. There are occasional glitches but nothing like I had with the BT Vision box. Thanks for your support.
    Best regards
    Mike

No problem Mike, the current software you mention your box is on is the last one released so you haven't missed out on one in between.

So has everyone with a retail box now been updataed to 17.3 or has the retail update been pulled also?

And my BT box has now updated to 15.4 with no explanation...so we are now even further in the dark over what is happening..

BT rep on their community forum stated that they have released a small update to handle the rollout of local TV on Freeview.  That does beg the question as to whether the current retail release is able to handle local TV.

15.4? Mine updated to 15.11 recently so that really is confusing. I also have a new surround sound issue which I'm not thrilled about.
