After several clicks to get there I loaded it up. Eventually. And then it wants to know where I am. Why doesn't it know already? And defaults to Canada? Seriously underwhelmed. I cannot imagine ever using this so-called app in favour of all the many alternatives, including just looking out of the window.

I've got another cracker up my sleeve but it'll have to wait for the right moment.

I for one, love this new app! On the BBC Red Button+ you can only save one location. With this can you save up to 10 locations!

I'd like to be able to have the temperature in Celsius, and the wind speed in Mph. The choice of imperial/metric does not cater for this.

Preference of Celcius/Mph? Me too. How on earth did that happen? There must be a cultural reason for it?
I also struggle with kilos and divisions of, and prefer height, distance and speed to be in inches, feet, and miles. Ah, wind speed/vehicle speed = MPH.
I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

Will you ever find yourself in ten locations at the same time, Gordon?  D

When first setting up, this new app asked for my gender (no problem with that) but then it asked for the year I was born and I thought WTH? Why? Then looked at the T&Cs in the upper screen (always always do that folks!). Which said -

    <SKIP> function enabled.
Full T&Cs available on our website.
The app stated one must go onto their website for full declaration of their T&Cs, so being a nosey b***** I did.

    It stated -

    If your bored VM -

Care to read the Privacy rights and Terms and conditions of Googles Voice search on Android based TVs AND the T&Cs of YouView on Android TVs too?

Just a 1 page summary report would be surfice on each :D

On our round-the-world cruise, we had to set 27 locations in our iPad weather app, to keep track from day to day.

Though after the first stop, Oporto, which was warm and sunny, they pretty much all said 'scorchio' :-)

I like the fact a new app, particularly a non video one has been added, hopefully is a sign of more to come.  Not one i'll ever use but still good news overall.

Love that there's an increase in content but the app is too slow to be useful, at least on my Humax T2000. But here's hoping for some more.
I'm honestly not impressed by the content; as providing a cloud or rain icon tells me nothing about the potential variation in conditions. I want my isobars, so will stick to the apps on my AppleTV thanks.
What I'd really like is an app that records the hourly BBC News24 weather summaries and puts that on myTV home page, automatically overwriting the previous summary.

Well we might as well have something that's accurate considering all the inaccurate channels on freeview.

Depending on where you are in the UK um sure this app will have 'cloud' or 'clouds' from time to time.

I've just tried the weather app for the first time and it failed to launch. Are there problems with it at the moment?
