Smash in, YouView out

Well, ready-mixed mashed potato is back in the basket of things that the Retail Price Index is based on.

But PVRs, like YouView, have been dropped in favour of those upstart sticks from Amazon, AppleTV, etc.

I said the writing was on the wall....  :p

I have a low opinion of people who press the Disagree button instead of engaging in reasoned debate. 
I have an even lower opinion of YouView’s continued policy of letting such people hide behind the cloak of anonymity.

    On the subject of "PVR out", I have just bought an HDHomeRun CONNECT DUO (from Silicon Dust UK shop) and am parallel running it with a PLEX Media Server (on a Mac mini) providing the PVR facility as an experiment.

    Or an Elgato (now Geniatec) TV stick would do the same but more simply.

    Indeed, Channel 5 in particular seem to be pioneering skipping programmes instead.
