@jimb - That was yesterdays report (check the date) nothing is launched till Friday. Soft launch just meant they gave a release to the press.

At anything downwards of £60 a month not many will take up this service as thats never been YouViews target market. But BT keep on trying!  :D

What has been a success for BT though is its standalone BT sport app, which is estimated to be somewhere in the 6m users region.

Don't shoot the messenger here but someone on the NowTV support forum is saying a senior NowTV staff member told them the full NowTV app will be coming to 'non' BT YouView boxes shortly.

    https://community.nowtv.com/t5/Everything-Sports/BT-sport/m-p/519115#M1424

'I had a chat with a Senior NowTV Staff Member yesterday about this and he confirmed that non BT customers will have access via the NowTV App on the Youview Platform (across most boxes) to watch content via your Cinema, Entertainment, Sports, Kids & Hayu Passes where i am in the same boat has you not being a BT customer.

When i asked him about is the above going to happen tomorrow the 21st of February inline with the BT live switch on date he wouldn't confirm and just said very soon for non BT customers.'

Wouldn't it be great if he said yes all sorted and it's coming on the 1st of March....sadly his vagueness spoke volumes. Also the silence from Sarah and co has been deafening ☹

I'm just hopping if I take the new Entertanment pass as well as the Sky Movies bundle for £20 as my sister likes movies. Would I still be able to keep the BT channels that I have the now including the HD versions of channels that are included in my package.
Also my sister has the full Now TV app on her Samsung 4K smart TV. So she could using Now TV on my account as I understand it and someone over on the Digital Spy forums said HD via now TV is only available if you get the Now TV Boost and that's an extra cost.
I do watch sport but not enough to be paying for it.

My retail BT Youview box in my bedroom got the last BT update this morning 32.41.0
The BT Youview box in living room that BT gave me that I also use for BT TV got the update 2 weeks ago.
I don't see why BT retail boxes will not also be getting the Now TV update after it is rolled out to non BT retail boxes as long as you have broadband with BT.
For in the past BT retail boxes have gotten updates from BT after they have finished updating there non BT retail boxes.

Both my BTT retail box and the BT box I got from BT just did a restart and I got the Sky channels on the EPG.
App still not updated though on my retail box and when I go to update apps and players I get the message we can't update your apps and payers.
    please try again later.

It's not on my T4000 but then I don't have a BT TV subscription!

    I’ve a feeling it’s BT customers only

Pretty sure it's not going to be available on any of the retail boxes. I have a feeling they are looking to cull the Youview retail market.
