Access the BT Sport app > Click on 'Channels' > Click on BT Sport 1 HD and let the picture settle. After 30 seconds an option should pop up to watch BT Sport Ultimate instead. Click on it and it should work.
I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

    @Ken Hill1,
that sounds very unfair of BT. Do they want to keep customers? I hope you manage to resolve your problem as a loyal customer. John L

The difference is that the BT Sport Ultimate 4k channel has it is called is multicast via the EPG so needs a faster connection and 44mb download speed will be the min speed you will be recommended to watch the channel on the EPG.
Where as Netflix and Prime Video is streamed so a lower download speed is needed to watch them in 4k.
A min of 25mb is recommended for watching Amazon Prime and Netflix in full 4k.
The faster your internet speed the better foe watching online and surfing the internet at the same time if you also want to do that.
Hope you get it sorted @Ken Hill1 and the info I gave you was of some help.

This is odd I can watch BT unlimited on the BT Sports app I got Liverpool on at the moment but I still can't watch it on my BT TV 4K box is telling me I'm not subscribed to it

For via the app it is streamed and on EPG it multicast. You need a good steady download speed of a min of 44mb/45mb to watch a 4k multicast channel.
BT must think you don't have a steady min download speed of 44mb/45mb to get BT Sport Ultimate 4k channel on the EPG.
I take it your on BT FTTC Fibre 1.
When I renewed my BT FTTC broadband back in Feb, I managed to get FTTC Fibre 2 for the same price of FTTC Fibre 1 with a min guaranteed speed of 54mb but I did say I had been looking to move elsewhere and they asked what other deal I had been looking at after I got put though to 3 deferent people via live online chat.
I dont have any sports package but have Now TV Big Entertainment plus the HD add on.

@Ken Hill1 it's not been called BT Sport Unlimited for well over a year now. It's now BT 4k Ultimate Sports channel.
I would go back on live online chat with BT and see what they say but from what you say your speed is not the min speed to get the channel on the Youview EPG.
  • Ken Hill1Ken Hill1 Member Posts: 261 ✭✭
According to the BT community forum a lot more customers are having the same problem there is a forum going about this complaint a lot of people are not happy about it you got to have 44 MB to 47 MB 4K channel BT Sport unlimited

Maybe you need to think about upgrade to FTTC Fibre 2 with a min speed of 54mb if your phone line can support it but that would cost you a few pounds extra unless you can talk BT in to giving you a discount.
I got a steady 65mb/66mb 97%/98% of the time with BT FTTC Fibre 2. Used to get about 70mb but BT say the green cabinet that my FTTC comes from is almost full and that could have reduced my speed a little bit but it's not been reduced that much for to keep complaining about it.
I do like watching sport but not enough to be paying the extra for it each month. That's why I cancelled BT Sport over a year ago when the free BT Sport offer came to an end. Plus BT lost some of the sport that I sometimes watched like the tennis,Scottish football and the Major league soccer. Have got used to not having Eurosport but did miss it to start with as I liked watching the skiing.
Im more in to TV shows and TV box sets and if I'm in the mood a movie.
The VIP package just seems a little dear a month and I could not justify the monthly cost as I would be lucky if I watched any of the sports channels a few times a month.

this thread is giving me a headache.... lol.

is there any way to change all the references of Unlimited to Ultimate

That's not good if you can't upgrade to BT FTTC Fibre 2.
Maybe your line don't support a higher speed and if so that's a shame.
Have you done a postcode check to see what that says as that's normally 97% accurate in telling you what speed you could be getting and if you could upgrade.

If your on Fibre 2 then you should be getting a min speed guarantee of at lest 54mb. I would ask BT do check your line with a test.
Speeds you are staying is like you are on Fibre 1. Why pay for Fibre 2 speeds if you may be only getting Fibre 1 speeds.
    Do a speed here
https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ and see what it says. Don't be watching any of the Now channels when you do the speed test as that will not give you a true test of your line speed.
