Normally, when you press the big blue button with a house symbol on it, you get on the screen, horizontally, Search, Guide, Players & Apps, MyTV, BT Player & Settings. This has always been the case but today, it's changed.
I've now got Guide etc, going vertically. i.e Guide, shows the programs horizontally, below that is Apps, showing BBC, ITV, Netflix etc, horizonally
and so on.............
How do I get it back to the original?

    You can't. Its the new design for YouView.

    Well, it's added a layer of complexity. It was easy to access my own recordings but now needs more button pressing. Had no problems at all with my DTR2110, give me the older version thank you and I'll forgo future upgrades.

    It's a lot slower than the old screen and I really do hate this new design. Enough to move me away from Youview at the first opportunity. Such a shame.

    It should be exactly the same number of button presses as before, just down instead of right.

    Have you got an example of where more presses are needed?

    I would venture that it's more button presses now because it's so flippin' slow to react that you press again thinking it didn't register only for it to overshoot what you were after and then have to go back again. Never had this problem before.

    Give it a few weeks and it'll soon become second nature. 
    Convinced all the negatively stems from unfamiliarity with the new layout.

    No, I 've been using it for weeks, if not months and it is still b****y awful!

    I just hope the TalkTalk boxes dont get it, but they will, as my Humax is now slower than the TalkTalk one to respond, so just how TalkTalk boxes will respond is likely, again, to be awful,

    No, nor me. I was one of those who liked the previous change and didn't have a problem with it at all. This new one, nope it's slow and clunky. It does absolutely nothing for me at all, there's simply no benefit to it.

    Sorry new design is slow , ugly , not clear and covers the screen.

    Really curious why you thinks this is better ? So tell us WHY it's better?

    It's not better, it's different! The design team have to do something to fill their day up. On a positive, my elderly mother who is not very technical with gadgets, got used to it straight away after I quickly explained. She doesn't like it, but since the revamp just ignored the thumb nail icons and clicks on left mytv+ icon. I keep asking her how she is getting on. No problems!

    The problem is loading speed, needs more work on the thumbnail design, allow users to customise their own box plus also turn features on and off, even allow users to go back to old design if they don't like it. Also a lot of users have panicked due to not knowing about the sudden change. Youview need to be fair to everyone! John L
    Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.

    Whatever happened to the New Features flash screen on first startup after an update? I thought this was to be used whenever there was a major change going forward. Did they forget?
