TV streaming service Now is to start showing adverts and scrap its multi-screen option later this month unless you pay extra for its optional Boost add-on service, which is also rising in price.

In all fairness even though the boost is rising in price (£5 from £3) it does now offer more.
    No ad's
    HD
    Surround sound
    Muti screen etc.
Also like everything else you rarely continue paying full price,  currently I'm paying £1 for it till September.
Good to note that the movies have actually decreased in price but again only paying £4 till October.
Which in the spirit of going off topic reinforces my belief anyone paying for Sky Virgin and especially BT for tv content must be mad.
Deacon Blue hit from October 88

No ads - which there weren’t before
HD - which it did before
Surround sound - which it did before
Muti screen - only when watching The No 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency
(Or if you meant multi - which it did before)
    etc. - there’s an etc.?

But unless there’s an etc., there’s nothing extra for the extra £2; you are just paying to stay the same.

I've never paid full price for any NOW package so the £2 increase doesn't bother me. So why would it bother a millionaire like you? Does it take you down to your last 10 million?

Be nice if it’s satellite counterpart, Sky, did a “No ads” option.

You do get some funny ideas. We’re all quite poor here. Even our butler is quite poor 😢
