Performance of Sagemcom RTIW 387

Extremely disappointed with performance of the Sagemcom RTIW387 .... Software 0.5.34 / 4.0.158 ..... on non-internet channels .... in fact some channels such as Pick, Yesterday, DMax, Quest, almost impossible to watch .... pixelation, sound interference, programme freezing
Just moved from Plusnet because they closed down their TV service. Thought I would be OK going back to BT.
Just shows that the power of advertising can mislead one badly.
Never had this issue with the Plusnet Humax DTR-2120/500G YouView + box.

    Welcome to the forum, JWH. So have you contacted BT about the Freeview problem?
    I'm now happy with the disagree icon, because its gone.

    Wow thought it was only me that specialises in sweeping statements

    The box your referring to to is commonly known as a "Pro box".
    It's vastly superior to any plusnet effort ( plusnet are the budget part of BT, think of it as Waitrose v Lidi).

    Youview community rules clearly states that no-one should agree with Visionman but he's right BT should be your first point of call.
    But as your problem is largely with the Freeview channels have you considered retuning your box.

    Can I take this opportunity to wish all a happy and prosperous New year.🥂
    Ignore this if you disagree.

    @JWH

    Have you still got the PlusNet box to swap back in, momentarily, for a fair comparison?

    We’ve had some breaking up lately, notably last night on the ITV News on 103, but we got it on the TV too, when we dropped the YouView box out of the loop by connecting the two aerial plugs that go into and out of the YouView box, thereby exonerating it.

    No obvious weather disturbances at the moment to account for it though.
