I have 3 humax you view 2000, I have noticed all of them are now recording replete series on the 1+channels so I get everything twice, and also now when I press record I no longer get the option on any of them to add a new series link????
Hi @Bogget, Welcome to the forum. Might be changeover of EPG data from TV broadcasters depending on channel, but if not: Quickest solution is to try one of the resets. Do a soft reset by pressing power button for 8 seconds and when it reboots see if this solves problem. If not, option 2, maintenance mode reset. Takes longer, careful read of instructions. Full instructions can be found by typing maintenance mode top of this page in search bar under help/support. Please let forum know if this has solved your problem. John L
Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.
Is this likely to have effected all 3 of my units together?
There are several factors: EPG data errors from broadcaster, software bugs from Youview, or depending on boxes, wear and tear. When was the last time you reset your boxes, how long have you had them? What would I do? First thing I always do is a few tests, turn box off, have another look, do a soft reset (as mentioned to you 8 seconds press power button), then investigate further with maintenance mode option 2 reset. This KEEPS recordings.
Choose one of your 2000 boxes and have a go and see if problem is solved. If it works, then you will know, it's the only way to find out and resolve. The Youview box is a working design full of tricks, but can have a mad minutes every so often! Let forum know how you get on, if you need more help. John L

This has to be balanced against the probability that every T2000 out there is doing this, and no-one else has noticed 😛
What is a possibility that would cause a local issue that affected all three boxes, though, is Freeview/Arqiva, or local weather conditions, mucking about with the channels.
YouView boxes are pretty good at following channel changes automatically, but they can’t handle absolutely everything.
The giveaway is usually channel copies in the top 700s or the 800s.
But I would anyway retune all your boxes, or one of them at least, to see if this makes the problems go away.
For a clean retune, you might first want to pull the aerial off the box(es) and retune, to completely clear the channel lists. Then reconnect the aerial and tune again.
Shouldn't be necessary, strictly, but it does mean you know exactly where you are with this.

I forgot retuning! Did mention EPG data errors. Something I would have done automatically, along with anything else to solve problem, but very good point @Roy! John L

OK this her stranger, it's back working on all of them, but only on some channels..... It's not working on smithsonian ch I only get the option to record the current program and not future as in series link

If you use @Stephen’s (semi)secret decoder (st)ring on a programme on this channel (select Info, press the colour buttons RGBRGB) you will see that Smithsonian aren’t publishing Series CRIDs.
So your YouView box has nothing to go on 😢
