It could be that the hard disk drive (or rather file system) has gone read only. There has been reports of this happening with a certain freeview box but I can't recall anyone reporting this with a youview box.
Have noticed that I am unable to pause the tv, record programs or delete existing recordings from my set top box.
Has anyone else noticed this.
I’ve done a reset on my hand controller to eliminate that possible problem.
Hi @shedder, Have you tried turning box off? If this doesn't work do a 8 second soft reset by pressing power button and see if this works. If still problems, then try a maintenance reset option 2. (How do I do this, I hear you ask . . . Top of this page, type maintenance mode under the help/support search bar. Information is all there, just a case of finding it).
Hopefully, one of these solutions will help to fix problem, unless hard drive has a fault, in that case it will either need reformating by doing full factory reset or replacement hard drive if still not working. Please let forum know how you get on/if you need more help. John L
Can't wait for the day when Youview get rid of the dreaded darkened banner when using fast forward/rewind recordings.
