REMOTE CODE NEEDED FOR BT DTR T4000 4K SET TOP BOX

EpilogueEpilogue Member Posts: 2
Can anybody provide the current set top box code for the above unit which I recently acquired. I do not have the original remote. I do have a 'One For All' remote'  and an older YouView remote which only operates a few functions - not the crucial ones I need e.g. menu/guide/channel changing. Am I right  in believing the STB is made by Humax?  If so, I have tried a few codes listed for BT Vision and Humax in the One For All manual, starting with the highest numbers but none work; though there is a long list of other lower numbers I will try.

Have you considered a remote from Amazon or Ebay?

I resorted to one for my surround sound recently, and found that it worked well. There will be fakes, but i bought a non genuine, different make from the original that was a dedicated replacement.

Which One For All remote? Preferably the URC number for the One For All remote.

From One For All web site I can see that the appropriate codes can vary between their different models for different devices.

All the older Humax/BT Youview remotes should operate the DTR-T4000.  Is your old remote warn out?  You could use a digital camera to check. Ask if that is new to you.

Which old youview remote is it?

Yes. It uses the same codes as all their other HD freeview and HD freesat boxes with very few deviations between them, and no variations for menu/guide/channel changing.

Thanks for responding, everyone. I went back and re-read the 'One For All' Manual with a little more patience and discovered that all needed to do was press and hold the number 4 (Simple Set up for Humax STB's) on my URC-117140 RO1 All For One remote after the flashing 'magic' button's blue light on the remote stopped, and the STB then turned off. I then stored the number by pressing the 'magic' button again and everything was fine. Can now power on using SA mode and access the STB's Guide, etc. I did not need any of the 4 digit codes (none of them worked). Now no need to buy a separate remote from Ebay or Amazon The Youview remote is J135001 (number inside battery compartment).

Your older YouView remote might just need resetting:
