Youview Pro Box stuck on setup

Hello,
I have had my Pro box for many months and it has been working fine. Then it no longer works - it continuously cycles through the setup screen. I have gone through all the maintenance screen options including those that delete recordings as the box is useless if it won’t even power up fully.
Any other ideas I can try?
Thanks

I take it this is a grey market one, and not on a BT TV subscription?

If Maintenance Mode 5 doesn’t fix it, then I reckon you have a hardware fault; you could try a local repairer, but I suspect only Sagemcom, if anybody, could fix it, and I don’t know if they would.

Some people have reported success with leaving a misbehaving box unpowered for a relatively long time, up to 48 hours. Might be a last-ditch effort, if no-one can come up with a better idea.

Hello Roy and thanks for the suggestion! Yes while I have BT Sport subscription, we don’t have BT TV subscription. The main reason for having the Youview box is to record channels. This is the three failure of a Youview box we have had and therefore we are probably going to combine the BT sport on our Sky subscription as their box is much more reliable and same remote record features.
Once again thanks and I have had the box off for 24 hours as I did wonder if a long power off might help 😉. Cheers, Martin

    Thanks for the correction.

That pretty much clinches that Humax won’t be able to fix it, then 😛
